This American Heroes design series was created as part of the America 250 campaign, an initiative celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. The assignment focused on researching influential American figures and developing visually compelling graphic designs that could be used as posters or shared across digital platforms such as social media. The goal was to communicate each individual’s legacy through strong visual storytelling, combining imagery, typography, and composition to create designs that are both informative and engaging for modern audiences. For this series, I created designs featuring Muhammad Ali, Aretha Franklin, Jackie Robinson, and Johnny Cash—four cultural icons whose impact extends beyond their respective fields into broader American history. My approach emphasized bold typography, thoughtful color selection, and clear visual hierarchy to reflect each figure’s personality and significance while maintaining a cohesive style across the series. This project strengthened my ability to translate historical research into meaningful visual communication and reinforced key design principles including balance, contrast, and narrative-driven composition.
